Adam KukucQueer & DomesticityEN/SK
His work represents an intersection between intimate autobiography and collective social reflection. The author explores the boundaries of domesticity and queer identity, utilizing material experimentation as a tool to challenge established norms and gender stereotypes. His approach is characterized by a sense of playfulness that does not obscure the urgency and depth of the themes he addresses. Adam possesses the ability to transform a personal narrative into a relevant design dialogue with an appeal to the broader public.
Beyond constructing utilitarian objects, he creates visual manifestos that invite a re-evaluation of traditional perceptions of masculinity and the search for authenticity within a contemporary social context. For his project 'Chlapčenstvo' (Boyhood), presented at Bratislava Design Week 2024, he was awarded the Grand Prize, confirming his capacity to translate personal testimony into a powerful artistic statement.
