In this semester project, the author reflects on the feeling of home and the necessity of sentiment within the household. What is the significance of a vitrine filled with porcelain that is almost never used? What emotions are evoked by a decorative curtain, a crocheted tablecloth, or a leopard-print blanket?
The result is an original project that maps patterns evoking the feeling of home. It reduces them into a single long strip of fabric that can be transported and adapted to any environment. The object also offers the possibility of wrapping oneself within it, transforming the piece into an interactive work with deep personal meaning.
