Strip
The project Strip addresses the impact of sexist remarks on the perception of one’s own body and identity, as well as the way an individual presents themselves to the outside world. It explores how external manifestations of objectification—stemming from strangers on the street or in the online sphere—affect the psyche and self-expression.
The core of the project lies in the collection of these remarks, which reveal how society reduces the body to an object. This experience led to the creation of 'layers'—a metaphorical defense mechanism where the original body, exposed to criticism and judgment, undergoes a transformation and withdraws into a protective 'cocoon.' This act is simultaneously a reflection of a sense of isolation and an attempt to escape societal pressures.
Strip reflects a process of transformation that mirrors vulnerability, defense, and the search for a new way of presenting oneself in a world burdened by the constant evaluation of appearance.
