Jaroslava LabudováTaboo & Soft sculptureEN/SK
Her work introduces an authentic and deeply personal expression into contemporary design, courageously addressing taboo social subjects. During her studies, her creative practice evolved toward the medium of soft sculpture and experimentation with textile materials. This allows her to work with intimacy and physicality on both a symbolic and material level, sensitizing the viewer toward themes that often remain unspoken.
Through her projects, she explores inner experiences and psychological barriers while critically reflecting on gender identity and collective memory. She actively develops her stance on feminist issues and social justice as a member of the artistic collective HELD. Jaroslava does not merely create objects; she constructs tactile narratives that challenge the boundaries of personal and public vulnerability.
