Monotone
In my project, I explore the crisis of time perception and the loneliness of our current era. Our sense of time often depends on changes in our environment and the society to which we belong. The absence of both can lead to monotonous days merging into one another, during which we may even lose our sense of self.
The project consists of a series of objects that appear to be ordinary household items; however, their role is to subconsciously alert us to the passing of time and to evoke feelings of monotony and solitude. By experiencing these emotions, we can better understand their causes and how each of us can cope with them.
