(Non) fiction Design movie
This project consists of a short 'Unacted Film' with a duration of 12:46 minutes and a book block of nearly 300 pages. The film is an authentic record of a single dinner (and a single evening), with both picture and sound captured in real time. Documentation of everyday events and conversations from March 26 to May 26, 2020, forms the text, which is laid out in a book format and printed on transparent foils.
The aim of this project is to highlight the design of everyday objects and elevate their value through the narrative of the mundane. A dematerialized form of presentation was chosen to avoid depicting the concrete physical shape of the products, instead evoking the viewer's subjective imagination. Both the audiovisual recording projected onto the wall and the text printed on transparent foil align with this objective.
