Fleeting Moments
Many of us surely remember this game: an eyelash falls out, we place it on our finger, touch someone else's finger, and make a wish. Whoever the eyelash sticks to, their wish comes true. My work is inspired by exactly this. Do not overthink—simply feel and perceive. It is primarily about the moment, about finding beauty in simplicity. The most beautiful wishes are those we seemingly live through because we cannot exist without them.
My goal is to help the observer slow down—both through the process and the final result. In my vision, you place the eyelash on the edge of a small box and blow into it. It enters; you can keep blowing, but you don't have to—the process is up to you. The longer you breathe, the greater the illusion becomes. The moment it settles on a wish is the key. Handle it with care.
A second way to make a wish is as follows: rub the box with faux fur with the eyelash already inside, touch it from the outside, and it will leap. This method is more sensitive to environmental conditions, but if you are lucky, your wish will be granted.
