Death is a vaccine against greed, egocentrism, and an over-controlled life. It is ironic how people believe they have their lives under control and how desperately they strive to keep everything orderly. The only thing that shatters this illusion is their own death or the death of someone close.
Suddenly, we are confronted with something we cannot influence... The boxes represent symbols of safety. They are a subtle nod to the situation we are currently experiencing. Our homes amplify a sense of security, yet at the same time, it feels as though we are in house arrest.
