I am not object
The project ‘I am not object’ is an attempt to awaken the human essence within us—the values, cognitive abilities, and imagination that enable us to create and evolve. If we fail to exercise these means, we become mere objects waiting to be used. Design almost always operates directively; it dictates the user, their mood, emotions, and the manner of interaction with objects. What would it be like to use objects authentically and discover their function throughout their lifespan? Would they influence our subconscious and activate an interest in our own internal value, or would they become just another brief distraction for our senses? Are we still capable of independent thought without relying on technology? These are the questions that point toward the thin line that could signify a better life.
“The installation creates a conceptual game where thoughts are transformed into material and the mind serves as the tool for its shaping. It displays traces of objects that represent something unique to each of us. By abstracting design into an incorporeal form, I create a space for reflection—both figuratively and literally. Through the technology of applying glass beads, a retroreflective layer is created, which becomes visible only when photographed with a flash.”
